Amalia is from the Bay Area and moved to Lincoln with her family in 2015.

She has been dancing since the age of six, and studied jazz, hip hop, tap, ballet, and hula.

Amalia danced professionally as a member of Soul Conspiracy Dance Company and Elemental Remix Dance Company, and currently dances with Halau Hula Pono in Newcastle.

Amalia started teaching dance classes at the age of 18 and has over 20 years experience teaching and coaching at schools and organizations in the Bay Area.

She taught K-12 dance and co-directed the upper school dance program at a K-12 school in the Bay Area for several years.

Currently Amalia is the Head Coach/Director of the Twelve Bridges High School Dance Team.

She also teaches fitness classes, and obtained her Pilates Certification through Pilates Sports Center in 2017.

She is also certified in Barre and TRX, and will be teaching for Starstruck next school year.

Amalia lives in Newcastle with her husband and two boys, two rowdy dogs, and 10 chickens.

She loves being a part of the community and sharing her passion for dance with others!
